odin thought coming home would be easy, but then he fucked up on the last challenge - repairing parts of the station through vague instructions only he had access to - and the escape pod he, poe and peter escaped on ended up hitting the ocean somewhere away from florida. it fucking sucked? pedin died somewhere on the shitty plastic raft they listlessly drifted on as they contemplated death. he misses her.
but fauxhalla is kind and warm and so is magnus. he left his dogs with red for a while, because - yeah - and when he shows up at the treehouse he helped built, he looks kind of shitty. he's miserable, in a hoodie and sweats, with the scruffiest start of facial hair, his skin pale from the sun he's been devoid of for the past month. he only has one bag with him, slung over his back, mostly full of food so he doesn't eat magnus's or alex's.
when he knocks on the door he feels kind of nervous. like magnus will just tell him he doesn't want to see him and to go home. he hopes that doesn't happen. if the offer to stay is closed, he'll just - crash somewhere else. ]

[inside Fauxhalla, Magnus is finally relaxing after a long, long day, and he's messing with a stack of Alex's tarot cards (he keeps pulling up the Fool, for some reason) on the floor, trying to remember the game Mallory taught him back in Valhalla (wait, was it a drinking game?). the paused game of Bloodbourne, the wood crackling in the fire in front of him and the music coming from Alex's studio -- energetic and Japanese and full of OPs she's too embarrassed to let him watch -- don't cover the sound of the knock, but it startles him all the same. it's not -- well, ever, that they get visitors they don't really know about, considering the wards of the place, considering they haven't had their housewarming yet, considering they live in the woods and off the grid like a couple of hippie weirdos. Magnus gets to his feet (borrowed, cute slippers on them), and peers out the window first, just in case it's like, a serial killer or something he guesses]

Opening it up, there are dozens of adorable costume onesie pajammas. Most are animals- of just about any kind you'd hope for. Cats, dogs, lizards, birds, a rainbow unicorn, and even a wolf in one carefully labeled black bag. ("Warning. Deadly and scary. Only to be opened and worn by Alex Fierro.") A few are even imPort themed including one styled after Luci's pristine white suits, but . . . in fleece . . . with footies. Most are One Size Fits All, but a couple come in XS and XL, just in case Alex is having that kinda day?
There's also an absolutely enormous bag of weed, a few grams of dried shrooms, and some salvia, and a few hundred dollars.

[ odin's gift is a lot smaller than the carepackage he sent to magnus before space. it's a small, wooden box, wrapped in a non-reflective red paper and a thick white ribbon. there's nothing inside, other than a note. ]
