But okay so like, to make this even worse Say you and Barney are friends and you really click and spend a lot of time together, same wavelength. But you're not more than friends and that's not even really on the table - or well, you haven't thought about it before since other people kinda see you and Barns as part of a big network of adoptive family.
So from other people's views you're like, as "close as siblings" and it didn't occur to you that that's necessarily untrue but upon reflection it's like hmmm maybe sharing a bed and swimming in your underwear together isn't siblingish
