He doesn't like all of the attention associated with birthdays.

Most likely because he bothered to befriend you in the first place. That's usually the biggest hurdle.

[Oh. He hadn't been expecting other people to ask him what he'd gotten Ronan. At least not outside of their circle. He feels a little foolish in his reply:]

Ronan can have whatever he wants. I wanted to make make him something myself.
